About Us

Minal Desai is an experienced Shoulder Specialist and Hand Therapist based in White Waltham, Maidenhead, with over 25 years of experience helping people recover from pain, injuries, and surgery.

 

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1997, she has built a trusted reputation for her caring, patient-focused, and results-driven approach. Since 2008, Minal has specialised in shoulder rehabilitation and was part of the team at the prestigious Reading Shoulder Unit. 

 

Minal maintains strong relationships with local shoulder surgeons, notably  working alongside Giuseppe Sforza.

 

She enjoys supporting patients with a wide range of shoulder conditions, including:

• Shoulder pain and impingement

• Frozen shoulder (painful, stiff shoulder)

• Shoulder instability or weakness

• Rotator cuff injuries and tears

As a certified Hand Therapist with the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT), Minal offers specialist hand and wrist therapy for:

• Rehabilitation following surgery (e.g. carpal tunnel release, tendon or ligament repair)

• Common hand conditions such as arthritis, tendonitis, and De Quervain’s

• Sports and overuse injuries, including repetitive strain
